While Megastar Chiranjeevi is remaking Tamil blockbuster Film ‘Kaththi’ in Telugu, Akshay Kumar has also come on board to remake the same film in Hindi.
In an interview, Akshay revealed this news. The film will not be directed by AR Murugadoss but his associate, Jagan. Akshay has already collaborated with AR Murugadoss for the remake of another Vijay starrer ‘Thuppakki’, which was made as ‘Holiday: A Soldier is Never off Duty’.
Akshay will step into the shoes of Vijay for this drama based on the sensitive topic of Farmers’ suicides. He will play dual roles of a petty criminal and a post-graduate degree holder in hydrology. He already has signed films like Rustom, Robot 2, Namastey England and Housefull 3 so dates have to be worked out.
Akshay will next be seen in ‘Airlift.’ Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, ‘Airlift’, the story of the largest human evacuation in the history, is scheduled to hit cinemas on 22nd Jan to cash in on Republic Day WEEKEND. Airlift is creating a lot of buzz after the Trailer was out.
