5 years Jail to Celebs if Endorse False Products

We have witnessed few incidents when Celebrities landed in trouble for endorsing false products.

Celebrities, who endorse brands, need to be more cautious from now on as a Parliamentary committee which was constituted to probe into this serious matter, has come up with few sensational recommendations.

5 years jail term and Rs 50 lakh fine for Celebrities endorsing false brands has been recommended by the committee, which will submit the proposed recommendations to Parliament very soon. If the bill gets passed with the proposed recommendations, the celebs need to be more careful while singing the endorsements.

The stern decisions were taken in order to curb the false Advertisements especially endorsed by the Film and Cricket Celebrities. In Government’s view, not just the brand manufacturers but brand promoters must also be made to pay hefty fines for false products.

In the recent past, Bollywood actors Madhuri Dixit, Amitabh Bachchan and Preity Zinta were served legal notices for endorsing instant noodles brand Maggi.
