Reliance Jio has announced to offer complementary WiFi services, Jionet, at the six main venues across the country where the T20 World cup matches take place.
The six stadiums where the company will provide free WiFi are:
- Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bangalore),
- Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium (Dharmashala),
- Eden Gardens (Kolkata),
- Punjab Cricket Association Stadium (Mohali),
- Ferozeshah Kotla (New Delhi) and
- Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai).
“Jionet has embarked on this huge project as a part of revolutionizing how spectators experience the games, as they are commonly faced with issues regarding connectivity,” said the Reliance statement.
“To make this possible, Jionet has harnessed its superior network capacity along with an excellent deployment of specially designed, state-of-the-art Wi-Fi access points that will cover the entire stadium with a seating capacity of minimum 20,000,” added the company statement.
T20 World Cup will start from 8th March in India.
