Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale has done well on Day One by collecting Rs 21 crore in India alone. Bajirao Mastani on the other hand collected decent Rs 12.8 crore.
‘Dilwale’, with its extensive Marketing and an able cast, director and team, had everything going for it if it has not had a worthy opponent like Bajirao Mastani to break opening day records. The screens as well as Audience were divided and hence the resulted numbers.
For a Film as big as Dilwale, Rs 30 crore opening was on the cards had it been a solo release. Opening day of Rs 21 crore is good enough for Dilwale if the film can consolidate from this point on. As far as International market is concerned, SRK is the uncrowned king and so the collections proved.
Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone starrer Bajirao Mastani has received good reviews for its scale and performances. The WEEKEND will be good for both the Movies. The first Monday is expected to decide the fate of these two biggies.
