Sushma Swaraj, the External Affairs Minister of India said in a recent tweet, “the government has rescued 29 Indian workers from Saudi Arabia.”
She further added, “We are paying for their air tickets as well”.
Sushma Swaraj was approached by Telangana State IT and NRI Affairs Minister K T Rama Rao ( KTR ) who had sought her intervention in the rescue of the 29 migrant laborers from the state held in captivity by an organization in Saudi Arabia.
KTR, had kept in touch with Swaraj sharing a media report which said the laborers were held in captivity without any food or basic amenities and that the organization had demanded 50,000 US Dollars from each of the employees before permitting them to leave.
Sushma Swaraj took the matter with the Saudi Arabia Government, as KTR urged her to help in rescuing 29 workers.
Now, everybody is appreciating the intervention of KTR, who took this matter to the external minister and solved it with a positive attitude.
