After Akkineni Nagarjuna’s upcoming Movie “Soggade Chinni Nayana” was censored, we can say that ghost spoiled his dream. The Film was given U/A certificate by the Censor board.
It is well known that the film is being publicized as a clean family entertainer to hit screens on 15th January, as sankranthi gift. It was expected that that the film will be first choice for family Audiences due to the clean village atmosphere. Why did such family film is given U/A instead of U certificate?
The main reason is Nagarjuna’s ghost character in the film. Yes, you read it right. Nagarjuna is playing the character of a ghost in the film. This plot point was not revealed until the recent Trailer. It would have been a shocker to Audiences if they found out this in theatres but makers spoiled the party by revealing it upfront.
With this U/A certification, family audiences will think twice to rate ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ as their first option when four other noted films are releasing on the festival eve.
