Right after the Andhra Pradesh (AP) state bifurcation, the people of residual AP expected minimum support from the central govt to cover the losses of bifurcation.
The ruling party BJP which has demanded special status for 10 years is now going back on its words and cheating the people of the AP by announcing a special package, which was celebrated across the state by the units of both BJP and Telugu Desam Parties.
The special package deals with various issues covering the bifurcation act of AP, announcement of PM Manmohan Singh in the house of Parliament and 14th Finance commission.
One special package mentioned in the document for the state is ” Polavaram Irrigation project “.
Here comes the deception of Central and State Govts, as per the AP Re organisation act 2014 Polavaram project was declared as national project.
Rules depict that central govt will fund 90% of costs of the project which has been declared as National Project, it is not only for Polavaram for every other National Project.
Showing that Polavaram is being funded as a part of SPECIAL PACKAGE and ruling parties celebrating that clearly shows how they are cheating the people, When the BJP cannot accord special status to the state it should agree it’s incapability, instead of misleading the people in the name of Special Package.
Recently tabled CAG Report highlights the irregularities in the construction of ” Pattiseema project “, with out even identifying the beneficiaries and spending the public money reflects the negligence of the Govt.
How can Govt justify the people of the state for spending public money just to claim the awards and getting into record books.
Absence of TDP MPs during the discussion on special status to AP in the parliament is also show cases the commitment of the ruling party in dealing state matters with Central govt, for the benefit of the own business entities TDP MPs are mortgaging the self pride and respect of Andhra people.
