YSR Congress party chief and opposition leader in Andhra Pradesh (AP), YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had taken the two day Rythu Deeksha (fast for farmer) against the negligence of the AP Government as far as the actions toward farmer problems in the state are concerned.
YS Jagan wants to enlighten the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu through this fast. At the end of day, YS Jagan has failed to generate any impact in the Chandrababu Naidu (Chief Minister of AP) government.
Quite the opposite, Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan ’s statement in support to chilli Farmers has created a huge buzz in the state’s political as well as media circles.
Pawan Kalyan released a statement to the media, voicing concern over lack of remunerative prices for chilli farmers.
Pawan Kalyan said it is unfortunate that the government, which was showing intense attention in enticing Investments from foreign corporations, has not shown any concern in the direction of providing remunerative prices for farmers.
The government’s unsympathetic approach towards farmers who are producing food to the nation, is pushing them to take to roads, Pawan Kalyan said.
Pawan said it is not at all moral for the state if farmers shed tears. He also said the agriculture department had miserably failed to instruct farmers on the amount of land to cultivate the chilli harvest and the Marketing department had failed to ensure appropriate price for the crop.
Pawan also said the massive gap between the production cost and the sale price of chilli has headed to the agitations because they are in in enormous pressure.
Pawan Kalyan urged the AP Government on behalf of chilli farmers by saying that the government must come forward and ensure that the chilli is purchased at minimum Rs 11,000 per quintal, as compared to Rs 13,000 last year, as a result the losses are minimised.
Following Pawan Kalyan ’s press release, Jana Sena activists on social media have taken up their part to make sure that their leader’s message is reached to the media and the government by spreading message through online campaigns.
Now, the issue has become more well-known in the state and the government is reportedly preparing to react positively on the issues raised by Pawan Kalyan.
Analyzing the scenario, Political Analysts say Pawan Kalyan’s reliability factor has sufficient volume to influence the government; and he already proved.
When it comes to YS Jagan, he is not capable enough to influence the people or the government, as he constantly lacks consistency, Political pundits say.
