As expected, young tiger NTR jr and Sukumar’s Nannaku Prematho is off to a flying start at the Box Office. However, no one might have imagined even in dreams that the much anticipated Film will shatter the records sets by epic ‘Baahubali’.
On Day 1, ‘Nannaku Prematho’ set new box office records in 4 areas: Hyderabad RTC X Roads (which is considered the Mecca for Movies in Telugu states), Khammam, Kurnool and Vizianagaram. Given the fact that the film is not a regular commercial entertainer, this is a huge feat.
As per the early estimate, on Day 1, ‘Nannaku Prematho’ collected around Rs 13 crore Share in AP and Nizam alone. Worldwide share could be anywhere close to Rs 16 Crore.
In USA, the collections of Nannaku Prematho are extraordinary. Premieres alone stood at $346,056 from 73 locations whereas few locations still to be reported. This figure would have been much higher if the prints had been dispatched on time. Nannaku Prematho is expected to collect around $1.5 million by the first WEEKEND itself.
