Kohli’s Pakistani Fan Arrested for Hoisting Indian Flag

A fan of dashing Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli was arrested in Pakistan for hoisting Indian national flag in Lahore.

Identified as Umar Draz, this Virat Kohli fan hails from Okara district, which lies in Punjab province, 200 km from Lahore. After Kohli’s blistering 90 in the first T20 match against Australia on 26th January, Draz hoisted the Indian flag atop his residence out of his admiration towards Kohli.

Upon receiving a complaint, police raided his house and took him into custody. Posters of Kohli were also seen pasted on the walls of his house. Police have filed a case against him under the Maintenance of Public Order. After presenting him in the court, he was sent to remand into police custody.

This Kohli Fan claimed that he has no idea that hoisting Indian national flag in Pakistan could be treated as a crime. He pleaded that he is not an Indian spy but just one of the millions of fans of the Star Indian Cricketer.
