‘Drishyam’ is a Film that was successful in all the southern languages and even in Bollywood.
Mohanlal played the lead in original Malayalam version while Venkatesh, Kamal Haasan and Ajay Devgan reprised the same role in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi remakes.
As per the latest shocking news, a murderer in Patna took inspiration from ‘Drishyam’ and destroyed the evidence after committing a murder. He is identified as Rajnish Singh, who killed a girl named Shristi Jain.
After police took him into custody, Rajnish Singh confessed during the interrogation that he shot dead Shristi after their wedding talks failed. Thereafter, he tried to destroy the evidence after watching ‘Drishyam’.
He realized cops could trace him using his mobile’s location so threw his phone on the passing truck and also drowned his Royal Enfield bike in the Ganga River, just like the scenes in the Movie.
This is another example of how films inspire crimes in real life.
