Renowned artist Jason deCaires Taylor’s latest underwater art installation, ‘The Raft of Lampedusa’, depicts the arrival of refugees into Europe and the frequent casualties that result in water.
Created for an underwater museum called Museo Atlantico, this art installation lies 46 feet under water, off the coast of Canary Islands in Spain.
The artist doesn’t want his work to be considered as a memorial or tribute for anyone but it was made to let the whole world about the tragic fatalities that refugees face.
You’ll need some diving gear to see the refugee sculptures in this museum.
