Domestic handset maker Ringing Bells has announced to launch India’s most affordable Smartphone for just Rs 500.
defence Minister Manohar Parrikkar will be launching the smartphone ‘Freedom 251’ on 17th of this month, a move that is expected to bring revolution in the booming smartphone Market in India.
Established last year, the Noida-based company said that launch of this cheapest phone will stand as a testimony of success of the latest Initiatives taken by the Government of India. Ringing Bells will start with the Assembly of handsets in Phase-I and will aim at full indigenous development of the Feature-rich smartphones.
At present, cheapest smartphones available in the market are priced around Rs 1,500. Few months ago, DataWind had announced to team up with Reliance Communications (RCOM) to launch the cheapest smartphone, priced at Rs 999 but the phone is yet to hit the market.
India is one of the fastest growing smartphone markets and it is poised to overtake the US as the second Largest Market in coming few years.
