The Opening Pooja ceremony of Mega Power star Ram Charan’s “Thani Oruvan” remake was held this morning, ending the long wait of mega fans.
‘Kick’ fame director Surender Reddy will direct the remake of this Tamil hit Movie “Thani Oruvan”. Titled “Dhruva”, the Film will have Ram Charan will playing the character of an IPS officer. Earlier makers considered the title of the movie as ‘Rakshak’ but finally ‘Dhruva’ is confirmed.
Actress Rakul Preet Singh, who romanced Charan in ‘Bruce Lee’, is roped in to play his love interest again. Produced by Allu Arvind on Geetha Arts banners, the remake will have Hiphop Thamiza scoring music. Aravind Swamy who played the role of villain in the Tamil original, will reprise the role of antagonist in Telugu remake as well.
Makers are aiming to release the film on 12th August, the same day as NTR’s ‘Janatha Garage’ release.
Ram Charan has been staying away from camera ever since his “Bruce Lee” release in October last year.
