Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has dismissed Milk and Dairy Development Minister of the state, B.V.Ramanaa, from her cabinet and also dismissed him from the party after a photo of him being kissed by a lady went viral on the internet.
No reasons were given for dropping Ramanaa from the Ministry though. Ramanaa’s expulsion was in typical Jayalalithaa’s style as the AIADMK chief expelled him without even bothering to give a public notice about the reasons. Jayalalithaa’s quick reaction towards the scandal brought her instant applause.
A statement issued by Raj Bhavan said Tamil Nadu Governor K.Rosaiah has accepted Jayalalithaa’s recommendation of sacking Ramanaa from the ministry. Rural Industries and Labour Minister P. Mohan will take over the milk and dairy development portfolio.
BV Ramana was sacked from Jayalalithaa’s cabinet as Revenue Minister in 2014 but he was inducted the same year in the council of ministers and made the minister of Dairy Development portfolio. Ramanaa was also the Tiruvallur west district secretary of the AIADMK.
