The Pakistani fan of Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli, who was jailed for hoisting an Indian flag in the country’s Punjab Province has finally been granted bail by the court ahead of the India vs Pakistan T20 Match to be played this evening in Dhaka.
The additional district and sessions court in Okara has granted the bail for Umer Daraz, who has been behind the bars for more than a month following his arrest on January 25 for hoisting Indian flag on the rooftop of his house to express his admiration towards Kohli.
Umer was then sentenced to prison despite he pleaded the judge to pardon him since he didn’t known that hoisting Indian flag in private property can be considered a crime.
