The 63rd National Film Awards have been announced today and two of the most talented actors have been awarded the Best Actor Male and Female respectively.
Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has been entertaining Audiences for more than five years, has been awarded the National Film Award for Best Actor for his clinical performance in ‘Piku’. The film also had excellent performances from Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan.
It may be noted that this is 4th National award for Big B. In the past, he was awarded in the same category for films like Agneepath, Black and Paa.
Kangana Ranaut was fittingly awarded the Best Actress for her utterly natural performance in ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’. The film was a huge blockbuster and cemented Kangana’s position as queen in Bollywood.
In the past, Kangana won the National Film Awards for ‘Queen’ and ‘Fashion’ in Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress Categories. So, this is her 3rd National Film Award.
