“I was always someone who kept talking to him ( MS Dhoni) about the game so even when I was really young, before I was made vice-captain,” says Virat Kohli.
Talking about the skills of his captaincy, the current captain of the Indian Cricket team Virat Kohli said that he has learned the most from former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Kohli was quoted saying, “I’ve learned the most from MS Dhoni, standing so close to him at slip so many times and just observing him at close quarters.”
“I was always someone who kept talking to him (Dhoni) about the game so even when I was really young, before I was made vice-captain,” Kohli said.
He further said, “I love thinking about the game and that’s why I enjoy captaincy so much.”
A graceful right-handed batsman, Kohli is regarded as one of the Best batsmen in the world.
Kohli has been the receiver of several awards such as the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy (ICC Cricketer of the Year) in 2017; ICC ODI (One-day International) Player of the Year in 2012, 2017 and Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World in 2016, 2017.
