TDP had created the Paritala ravi story and campaigned aggressively through its media, says JanaSena chief Pawan Kalyan.
JanaSena party chief Pawan Kalyan who offered self-less support to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) back in 2014 General Elections is now slamming its leaders and current chief minister of the Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu for failing to full-fill their election promises given to people.
Mr. Kalyan who is currently in Godavari districts as part of his Porata Yatra campaign has said the reasons why he supported the TDP despite the party and its leaders had alleged faction and criminal history where they even attempted to assassinate his character in multiple times.
There has been a widespread rumour that TDP leader and MLA late Paritala Ravi had tonsured the head of Pawan Kalyan.
recalling the incident, Pawan Kalyan said, TDP had created the story and campaigned aggressively through its media.
I was very much aware of their attempt in assassinating my character, he said.
“Regardless of their past I gave my support to TDP in 2014 elections because I thought Chandrababu Naidu’s experience would help the newly formed State. But he failed miserably to put the state on track and made it as a corrupt state.”
“When I started questioned Chandrababu Naidu’s failures, the TDP funded media created a number of programmes and again started assassinating my character and they even abused my mother,” he added.
JanaSena Party had already announced that the party will contest all 175 Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh in the 2019 General Elections.
