Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan was on 1^st of January sworn in as the first Chief Justice of Telangana High Court.

Justice Praveen Kumar was sworn in as the acting Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh HC, which also came into existence the same day.

Radhakrishnan enrolled as an advocate in December 1983 and started practising in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

He later shifted to the High Court of Kerala at Kochi where he practised in civil, constitutional and administrative matters.

Radhakrishnan was appointed Judge of Kerala High Court on 14 October 2004.
