Andhra Pradesh cabinet approved the decision providing 5% reservations for Kapu community.
The cabinet also approved to cater 5% reservations of Economically Backward Classes.
Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday held a meeting with cabinet ministers cabinet at secretariat and taken several key decisions.
Here’s a list of 10 decisions taken by the Andhra Pradesh cabinet.
1. Decided to provide 5% reservations for Kapu community
2. Decided to cater 5% reservations of EBCs (Economically Backward Classes)
3. Agreed to double the welfare pensions from Rs.1000 and Rs. 1500 to Rs.2000 and Rs. 3000 respectively.
4. Agreed to give exemption of life tax for autos and quarterly tax for tractors.
5. Decided to provide aid for about 1, 25,000 houses constructed without approval since June 2014.
6. Accepted the proposal of giving Rs. 10,000 to houses built during 1996-2004.
7. Medical insurance schemes for handloom workers will be reinstated with a Budget amount of Rs. 10 crores.
8. Each family of handloom community will be provided insurance worth Rs. 20,000.
9. Tax exemption worth about Rs. 47 crores will be given to five sugar factories.
10. Agreed to a lot Rs. 50 crores for construction of Samata Sphoorti Vanam.
