After the one Sided One Day series, The T20 series between India as New Zealand commenced yesterday. With T20 fire powers and specialists in both teams, the first match was expected to be a thriller. However, all it turned out was yet another one-sided match but this time, the host New Zealand ending up on a winning side.

Winning the toss, Indian Captain Rohit Sharma elected to bowl. This turned out to be fatal as New Zealand openers were all guns blazing in the powerplay with the score of 66/0 in 6 overs. New Zealand never stopped their momentum throughout their batting, and as a result, they put up a massive score of 219 runs on board after the end of 20 overs.

In reply, India never got the momentum. India lost Rohit Sharma cheaply, and the middle order comprising of Dinesh Karthik, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya failed to score. With some lusty blows of MS Dhoni at the end, India just managed to score 139 runs, thus losing by 80 Runs.

This was the biggest defeat for India in terms of runs in a T20 match.
