Indian Government under its Small Development Projects Scheme has built a 25-bed maternity hospital in Nepal.
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri on Wednesday (10th of April) inaugurated the hospital in Siraha district of Nepal.
Key facilities.
The Hospital called Chandra Narayan Yadav Memorial Maternity Hospital will provide quality maternity and health care services to the people of 50 Village Development Committees in and around the district.
The hospital services will also help in minimising maternal rate.
It further will help in reducing child mortality rate.
So, what to know about Small Development Project Scheme.
Health is one of the key areas of cooperation between India and Nepal. Different sorts of health posts, nursing campuses maternity centres, eye hospitals, naturopathy hospitals have been undertaken under the Indian government’s Small Development Project scheme.
As part of the scheme, the new Infrastructure has been constructed with the grant of 26.90 million Nepali Rupees.
