India’s freestyle wrestler Bajrang Punia has regained the world number one spot on the men’s 65-kilogram freestyle wrestling category rankings list.
International wrestling governing body the United World Wrestling on 17th of April released the rankings.
Punja is followed by Akhmed Chakaev of Russia and Nachyn Kuular of Russia who came in 2nd and 3rd spots.
Turky’s Selahattin Kilicsallayan and Mongolia’s Tulga Tumurochir came in 4th and 5th spots respectively.
Punia, who won Gold in the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games as well as a silver in the World Championships last year, secured 58 points ahead of Akhmed Chakaev of Russia.
