JanaSena President Pawan Kalyan called upon the Jana Sainiks to extend their support to the RTC workers across the Telangana State.
JanaSena party chief Pawan Kalyan on 14th of October announced that his party will extend its complete support for the State bandh call given by Joint Action Committee (JAC) as part of Telangana RTC (Road transportation Corporation) workers strike on October 19.
Mr. Kalyan called upon the Jana Sainiks to extend their support to the RTC workers across the Telangana State.
He, however, said there would not be any violence in the bandh and they should ensure that there would not be any untoward incident. The concerns of the workers should be explained to the people in a Peaceful manner.
Mr. Kalyan had a review meeting at Prasant Nagar in Hyderabad on Monday on the RTC strike and latest developments with JanaSena Party Telangana in-charge Vemuri Sankar Goud and other key members of the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kalyan said, “the RTC strike which is continuing for the past two weeks has been intensified across Telangana. RTC worker Srinivasa Reddy committed suicide by setting himself ablaze in Khammam district and another worker Surender Goud of Ranigunj Depot too ended his life. These incidents are indicating severity of the situation. I appeal to the government to understand the concerns of the workers when they launched agitation leaving aside whether their demands are acceptable or not. As a party president, I too felt it heartrending when about 48,000 workers are sacked at one stroke. The families of the workers too felt agitated with sacking the employees at once and it became a debatable issue among all. The issue of job security became a question now.!
Mr. Kalyan also said, “some demands made by RTC workers may be resolved some may not be. The government must have called the unions for discussion and resolve it in an amicable manner. It could resolve some issues and try to convince the leaders with regard to issues which could not be resolved. Sacking of workers created a sense of insecurity among the RTC employees.”
Mr. Kalyan also demanded that the Telangana government should resolve the demands of the striking RTC workers in a cordial manner.
He further said that the situation should not rise where the issue not turn into more critical.
