Jagan Reddy’s Sand-Mining Policy Costs 3 Lives So Far, Pawan Kalyan Calls For Unity Among Political Parties

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh government’s new sand-mining policy has so far led to over 3 million workers in construction Industry losing out on employment. And so far, three construction workers committed suicide in the State.

The opposition parties in the State are blaming the YSR Congress led AP government for imposing chaotic sand policy that has put over 3 million workers out of their job and families in a state of misery.

JanaSena Party chief Pawan Kalyan on 27th of October slammed the Andhra Pradesh government for putting around 3 million construction workers out of job and for putting the families of construction workers in a state of misery.

Describing Andhra Pradesh government’s sand policy, a “chaotic”, Mr. Kalyan said, “AP govt due to its ‘chaotic sand policy’ has put 19.6 lakh workers directly & another one million workers indirectly out of job & put their families in a state of misery.

“The suicide of ‘Mr. Naga brahmaji’ reflects the grim situation of construction workers in the state of AP,” Mr. Kalyan said.

He also announced Rs. 1 lakh to the deceased man’s family. “I am announcing Rs. one lakh to the deceased man’s family who had committed suicide. My heartfelt condolences to the family of Naga Brahamaji. May His soul rest in Peace,” Mr. Kalyan said in a statement.

Mr. Kalyan further requested the Narendra Modi led Central Government to look into the issue.

“I appeal to ‘Central Govt’ to look into this and come to the rescue of 3 million plus construction workers,” he said.

Pawan Kalyan Calls For Unity Among Political Parties 

JanaSena Chief urged Political parties to rise to the occasion and express solidarity for construction workers on November 3rd in Visakhapatnam.

He said on Tuesday in a statement, the recent suicides  of construction workers have shaken up his conscience.

“As responsible Political parties we must all come together in their support and make the Government understand the pain and anguish of the suffering people are being subjected to by a lopsided sand-policy,” said Kalyan.

“Since BJP and the Communists have already responded on their behalf, I urge remaining Political parties also to rise to the occasion and express solidarity for 3.5 million construction workers on Nov3rd in Visakhapatnam,” he added.
