A picture that has gone viral on social media shows a man erasing Indian national flag with the paint of YSR Congress Party’s flag colour on a wall of Village Panhayat bulding.
The incident allegedly took place in Tamedavalli village, Amaravaram Mandal of Ananthapur district.
Bharatiya Janata Party Andhra Pradesh State President Kanna Lakshmi Narayana also posted a few more pictures on his Twitter page.

The Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 prohibits the desecration of or insult to the country’s national symbols, including the National Flag.
Whoever in any public place or in any other place within public view shows disrespect to (whether by words, either spoken or written, or by acts) the Indian National Flag shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.
