JanaSena President Pawan Kalyan requested the Governor of AP to intervene and direct the State Government on the issues of construction workers.

JanaSena Party chief Pawan Kalyan along with prominent leaders from the party met with the Andhra Pradesh governor on 12th of November and requested him to intervene and direct the State government on construction labour issues.

In a letter submitted to the governor, Mr. Kalyan stated, “We bring to your kind notice, the sad plight and innumerable hardships being faced by more than 35 lakh workers who are involved in construction activities in the State of Andhra Pradesh.”

Janasena party has been receiving several representations in this matter we have raised this issue on several fora, unfortunately there has been no response from the state government to safeguard the welfare of construction workers, JanaSena Chief said.

Janasena organized a huge “long march” protest rally in support of construction workers urging the state government to correct the discrepancies of their new sand policy, said Kalyan.

Kindly intervene and direct the state government to immediately respond on this issue, he added.

He further said, “we have also prepared a note on sand mining policy which we request you to kindly peruse.”
