Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth on 19th December expressed his concern over violent protests taking place across the country against BJP led Indian government’s Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizenship (NRC).
Rajinikanth on his Twitter page wrote, “violence should not be the answer for the problems.” However, he didn’t express his stand clearly whether he was pro-CAA or against to it.
He said the citizens of India should stand united and aware on the country’s security and safety.
He also said “I’m deeply distressed as because of the undergoing violence.”
Following his Tweet, Rajinikanth’s opinion started getting mixed responses where people have been posting their reactions with two different hashtags.
Two hashtags #IStandWithRajinikanth and #ShameOnYouSanghiRajini started trending on the micro-blogging site Twitter.
