Superstar Mahesh Babu’s ‘Brahmotsavam’ is all set to hit screens in a few weeks.
The Film has completed its tre-release business and it has done the record business for any Mahesh Babu starrer. The Worldwide theatrical rights excluding Tamil Nadu have been sold out for huge Rs 72 crore.
But, this Mahesh starrer fell well short of Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ in terms of pre-release business. Here is the comparison chart after we broke down the figures area-wise.
Area | Sardaar | Brahmotsavam |
Nizam | 21 | 16.2 |
Ceded | 10.50 | 9 |
Uttarandhra | 7.20 | 5.60 |
Guntur | 5.50 | 4.60 |
Krishna | 4.30 | 3.40 |
East Gidavari | 5.40 | 5 |
West Godavari | 4.40 | 4.20 |
Nellore | 2.70 | 2.50 |
AP/T Total | 61 | 50.50 |
Karnataka | 8.50 | 7 |
Rest of India | 2 | 1.5 |
Overseas | 10.5 | 13 |
We have not included the Tamil Nadu business here. Sardaar has done superb North India business as well but Brahmotsavam is not releasing in Hindi.
Clearly, Brahmotsavam could surpass Sardaar only in Overseas. Still, it is excellent pre-release business for a family entertainer.
