A new petition screaming for a second Referendum on United Kingdom’s membership of the European Union has gathered more than 3.3 million signatures following the vote to exit.
Many of those signing the petition demanding a referendum rerun came from major cities.
The particular petition will likely be considered by Parliament as it has surpassed the mandatory 100,000 ceiling.
The UK voted to leave the EU by 52% to 48% in Thursday’s referendum but the vast majority of voters in London, Scotland and Northern Ireland supported Remain.
Several EU Foreign Ministers have urged Britain to start the process soon.
