Religious fanatics and politicians are not letting the pride of India and the Oscar winning music composer AR Rahman to concentrate on his work.
Recently, a Mumbai based Muslim group, Raza Academy, had issued fatwa against the legendary composer for composing music for ‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God,’ an Iranian Film.
Now, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) commented that Rahman, who was once a Hindu, Dileep Kumar, converted to Islam owing to financial reasons. The religious VHP further said that Rahman should convert back to Hinduism and he will be welcomed in a grand way by all the Hindus.
While Rahman was disturbed by these fanatics, now, Raja Singh, the BJP MLA of Old City, Hyderabad, added fuel to the fire by making statements that the VHP must put extra efforts to convert Rahman back to Hinduism.
This controversial MLA, Raja Singh has the history of being an extreme right wing activist. He also initiated the ‘Gau Raksha Andolan’ movement sometime back.
The diehard fans of Rahman’s music are now pleading the religious fanatics to leave the composer in Peace.
