It seems that the healthy industrial policy initiated by the government of Andhra Pradesh is attracting industries in an unprecedented manner.
The State Government has now signed MoUs with the country’s low-cost mobile manufacturing giants, Micromax, Karbonn and Celkon in the presence of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada.
With this move, AP will soon be turning into a leading electronics manufacturing hub. The above said companies will soon be installing their new manufacturing units in Sri City, Tirupati.
AP government is targeting manufacturing of about 60-70 lakh mobiles per year. Nearly 7,000 jobs will be created for the state’s youth in the Sri City.
It is already known that recently Chinese mobile manufacturing giant Xiaomi has signed MoU to install a new manufacturing unit in Sri City.
With Micromax, Celkon and Karbonn entering Sri City now, an electronics manufacturing ecosystem will be created in the region and the state will soon fly in terms of employment opportunities and Infrastructure development.
