Although the film is a big hit now, it is heard that Harish Shankar is not happy and remuneration is the reason for it. Taking overseas rights as part of remunerations has become a new habit for Telugu directors. While it is doing wonders for few, some directors are losing big like Harish Shankar did.
Harish Shankar has released “Subramanyam For Sale” in overseas. This romantic entertainer collected just around Rs 90 lakh so Harish will nearly get Rs 30 lakh Share as his remuneration. Considering he is the director of a blockbuster, it is very meager amount for him.
On the other hand, director Maruthi released his film “Bhale Bhale Magadivoyi” in overseas and he got Rs 2 Crore share as his remuneration.
Truly, a bizarre scenario for Harish.
