Fans and Movie lovers woke up today to the sad news that Tamil hero Vijay’s ‘Puli’ release got stopped due to Finance issues. Since Qube didn’t receive the due payment from ‘Puli’ makers, the exhibitors didn’t get clearance to screen the Film.
All the early morning shows and overseas premiers were cancelled as the result. While the fans were in tension mode, none other than Vijay has stepped in and cleared the issues.
As per sources, Vijay has shelled out Rs 12 Crore from his pocket to clear the payments. Qube has now confirmed that the film will have its release in Tamil Nadu.
However, the Telugu version will not release today and hopefully tomorrow, if the issues get settled. It is heard that the Telugu distributor is yet to clear Rs 3 Crore payment.
