Energetic hero Ram’s latest Film ‘Shivam’ is released into theatres the other day and with a lengthy runtime of 162 minutes and boring narration, the so called mass entertainer tested the patience of Audiences.
After receiving negative reports on day one, the makers are now gearing up to cut few scenes to make the film engaging. 130-140 minutes of runtime is appropriate, even for commercial entertainers as the Audiences of these days are not in the mood to bear even minute lags.
Coming to Shivam, there are plenty of unnecessary and boring scenes. Debutant Srinivas Reddy almost failed in the writing and direction. Ram’s energetic performance, Devi Sri Prasad’s Songs and heroine Rashi Khanna’s glamour are the only positives in this otherwise boring film.
Talented actors like Brahmanandam, Posani, Jayaprakash Reddy, Sapthagiri etc were wasted. Instead of trying for forceful comedy scenes, the director should have concentrated on engaging screenplay with a less runtime to at least have an average result at the ticket window.
