28 MLAs of Congress, BJP, TDP, CPI and CPM parties have been suspended by Telangana Speaker for creating chaos in Telangana Assembly today. As soon as the house began proceedings, opposition leaders moved adjournment motions on the Farmers’ suicides.
While TDP demanded debate on farmers’ suicides, Congress leaders sought one time settlement of crop loan waiver. When the Speaker Madhusudana Chary rejected the adjournment motions, opposition members exhibited placards and raised slogans, thus disrupting the proceedings.
Although, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao tried to calm the opposition members by saying that the issues are already under discussion, the opposition members rushed into the well of the house and raised slogans by standing near the speaker’s podium.
With Harish Rao demanding for the suspension of those disrupting the session, Speaker suspended the 28 MLAs for the entire session.
