Maoists released 3 Abducted TDP leaders

The three TDP leaders, Gudem Kotha Veedhi mandal, Visakhapatnam district, TDP President Mamidi Balaiah Padal, District Executive Council leader Mukkali Mahesh and senior leader Vangadam Balaiah, who were abducted from Kothaguda village of GK Veedhi mandal on 5th of this month, have been released this morning.

Tribal Employees Association leaders from GK Veedhi and Chintapalli mandals held negotiations with the Maoists for two days and secured the release of the TDP leaders.

The Maoists abducted the TDP leaders demanding the government to stop bauxite mining in the agency areas. It is to be noted that the Maoists asked Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to scrap bauxite mining in the area or many such kidnapping incidents will happen in future.

Maoists had also told the TDP leaders to resign to the party and start agitations against bauxite mining.
