Income Tax raids on ‘Bruce Lee’ unit

Income Tax officials are reportedly conducting raids on Ram Charan’s ‘Bruce Lee’ Film unit. Reportedly, the raids are happening at the residences of director Sreenu Vaitla, producer DVV Danayya, SS Thaman, Nizam distributor of the film Dil Raju and few others.

The raids came a day ahead of the release of ‘Bruce Lee’, which was made at an estimated cost of Rs. 60 crore. The IT sleuths are verifying if there was any Black Money pumped at the last minute.

Film Celebrities have become major target for IT officials in recent times. Couple of days ago, they did launch raids on Tamil actor Vijay and the unit members of his recent release ‘Puli’, just a day before the release. The sudden raids halted Puli release for two shows.

The raids on Bruce Lee team will not affect the release as all Finances are already cleared, it is heard. Around Rs 70 Crore business is done by the film including theatrical rights, satellite audio and digital rights.
