A criminal case has been filed against Indian Cricketer Amit Mishra for assaulting a female friend. If Mishra is proved guilty, then he will be sentenced to jail for seven or more years.
Mumbai based Film producer Vandana, who has been a friend of Mishra for over four years, registered an FIR against Mishra on 27th September.
In her complaint, Vandana alleged that she was attacked in a five-star hotel in Bangalore on 25th September when Mishra was in the city to attend a cricket camp. She claimed that she used to often meet him when he was in the city.
As per her report, on September 25th, she entered Mishra’s room when he was not around. This resulted in an argument when he arrived into his room. The argument turned violent and Mishra beat her with a tea kettle.
The 33-year-old leg spinner is part of India’s ODI squad against South Africa.
