The YSRCP Chief YS Jagan’s hunger strike demanding special status for AP did not bring any kind of response among the people. YSRCP’s protests in the past regarding loan waiver, students fee reimbursement, land pooling etc failed to make even minute impact on the people.
Apart from the past setbacks, Jagan has recently been severely criticized for his absence at the Amaravati inaugural ceremony. Many questioned, ‘When Chandrababu’s archrival KCR can attend the event, why not Jagan’?
It seems that Jagan is now working on a Strategy to counter attack Chandrababu and TDP Govt. As per the buzz in the political circles, Jagan and all the YSRCP MLAs and MPs are planning for mass resignations demanding special status.
However, it is heard that several leaders of YSRCP are also worried about their chances of winning the by-elections. They are not sure if they can capitalize on the special category status issue as majority of the people of AP have already accepted that special status will not come.
This strategy of YSRCP might backfire if they don’t crosscheck before taking the ultimate step.
