Over the comments made by Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, opposition demanded that she has no right to proceed as a minister.
On this matter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday ended his silence over the Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti controversial comments, saying he “strongly disapproved” of the remarks of the Minister who has already apologized the house.
“I believe that after her apology, this House has such a large number of seniors with so much experience, they know what should be their feelings towards an apology,” PM Modi said.
He also said, “I appeal the House that when the Minister has apologised, this is a message to every one of us that in future we all ought not cross the limits of dignity in terms of do’s and don’ts.”
PM additionally said, “I appeal to the House that we ought to work for the interest of the nation.”
