The Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju has said the action against SpiceJet is a preliminary measure on account of the books of the airline.
Raju said the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has heightened surveillance of Spicejet as a precautionary measure because of money related stress faced by the Air Transport.
The minister said , Heightened surveillance is a consequence of safety attention. It is a preparatory measure in light of what the books are reflecting.
“There was worry that security may not get that need it should due to the money related stress. We need to guarantee that maintenance is not compromised and pilots don’t fly beyond the mandatory duty time limits.” He added.
