‘Akhil’, the debut Film of the youngest Akkineni actor, Akhil, was earlier supposed to hit screens for Dasara festival, on 22nd October, but the last minute postponement of the film devastated the Akkineni fans, who even went against the film, criticizing director VV Vinayak and producer Nithiin.
However, positive buzz is slowly picking up with the confirmation of the release date, 11th November, on the eve of Diwali. It is well known that Akhil will also release in a grand way in Tamil.
Here comes the big threat. Akhil will have to lock horns with three Superstars at Tamil Box Office and two at Telugu box office.
Kamal Haasan’s ‘Thoongavanam’ is releasing on the 10th November, Thala Ajith’s ‘Vedalam’ is releasing on 11th November and Salman Khan’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ is releasing on 12th.
Coming to Telugu, the threat of Ajith will be nullified but the threat of Kamal and Salman will remain. Amidst the clash of these titans, how far this debutant will succeed will be interesting to watch.
