The Telangana government is making grand plans to conduct a huge ‘Ayutha Chandi Yagam’ or Satha Sahasra Chandi Yagam (equivalent of 1 lakh Chandi Yagams), which will begin on 23rd December and will continue for 5 days.
As per reports, this Ayutha Chandi Yagam is CM KCR and ruling party TRS’s Initiative to throw away the evil from Telangana state. It is well known that the state has been fighting severe drought and farmer suicides.
The Ayutha Chandi Yagam will take place at the farmhouse of KCR, on the outskirts of Hyderabad. For this Yagam, the TRS government will invite 1100 priests and veda scholars from various Peethas and it will be carried out under the guidance of Kanchi Seer Chinna Jeeyar Swamy.
Reportedly, 10 tonnes of Moduga sticks and 10 quintals of cow ghee will be required for the yagam, per day. This ‘Ayutha Chandi Yagam’ is expected to give 1 lakh Crore yagna phalam to the Telangana stae.
KCR has already invited the Prime Minister and the President for this grand yagam.
Meanwhile, opposition leaders have objected the utilization of Crores of public money for religious events. They suggested KCR to carry out such Yagams with his own money.
