We have Superstars in every Film Industry. Of course, all of them are heroes and there is no true lady Superstar among the heroines of this generation.
For the starters, veteran actress Vijayasanthi was proudly called the Lady Superstar. She used to charge hefty remuneration for her Women centric films and they used to be huge hits withstanding the language barrier.
After Vijayasanthi, no actress has got such power to be given that title. However, we hear that dusky beauty Trisha Krishnan might be given that title by the makers of her latest film ‘Cheekati Rajyam’ starring Kamal Haasan in lead.
Trisha will be completing 50 films with ‘Cheekati rayam’, a feat which is not possible for any actress of this generation to repeat. Hence, she might be awarded that title by her producers.
However, many say that Trisha has not yet given a single hit with a female oriented film then how can she be called Lady Superstar? Acting in most number of films is not the criteria but showing the Box Office stamina is.
