The Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh has become a big joke as very opportunistic politician is coming up with different (mostly laughable) ploys claiming to bring special status for the newly formed state.
Although, The Union government has sent clear indications that special status will never come but a huge Special package will be given to the AP, opposition parties of the state, Congress and YSRCP are coming with silly announcements.
Freshly, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Raghuveera Reddy has announced that the party would fight for the special status for AP by launching Sand Satyagraha movement, inspired from the legendary Salt Satyagraha movement initiated by Mahatma Gandhi.
Raghuveera Reddy made this announcement to media in New Delhi and added that the details of the Sand Satyagraha will be declared after a meeting on 6th November.
Raghuveera and other senior Congress leaders like Jayaram Ramesh have earlier taken the blessings of Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat in New Delhi as an indication of inspiring from him for this movement.
