It is well known that ‘Vedhalam’ starring Thala Ajith and Shruti Haasan and Kamal Haasan and Trisha starrer ‘Thoongavanam’ are clashing this Diwali for supremacy at the Box Office.
The clash of these two titans of Tamil cinema is happening after thirteen long years. Their last clash happened in 2002 for Pongal. Ajith’s ‘Red’ clashed with Kamal’s ‘Pammal K Sambandam’ and Ullaganayagan’s Film had scored marginally better than Thal’s Movie at the box office.
However the odds have change now as Ajith is the bigger box office puller now. It is said that ‘Vedhalam’ distributors have booked all the major big theatres in all the territories. Relatively, ‘Thoongavanam’ is releasing in lesser number of screens.
Vedhalam took flying start as the ticket sales, both online and offline have been selling like hot cakes. This is well expected as the film stars Ajith, the Emperor of the Box Office.
Since Kamal’s film is made on relatively very smaller Budget compared to Vedhalam, Kamal is not at all a worried man, despite low key release.
