National Award winning Tamil actor Dhanush has found himself in a controversy with his new Tata Sky commercial.
The reported commercial has stirred a big controversy in Tamil Nadu as the Cable TV Operators across the state didn’t like the message sent through the latest commercial.
In the commercial, Dhanush appeals to the people of his state to switch to Tata Sky to pay for only the days they watch the TV unlike Cable TV Operators who charge for all the days of the month irrespective of usage.
Cable TV Operators across the state fear that the commercial would affect their business. G Damodharan, the General Secretary of Tamil Nadu Cable TV Operators Association, has condemned the new Tata Sky commercial and demanded for an immediate ban on it.
He has even demanded a public apology from Dhanush else threatened to stage huge protests against him. Not stopping there, he appealed to Tamil Nadu Actors Association to take severe action against Dhanush.
Dhanush is yet to respond to the controversy. After all, it was the Strategy of Tata Sky to reach out to more people in the state.
