In a ghastly incident, a man threw acid on a Russian tourist on 13th Nov in Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Lok Sabha constituency.
As per sources, following a verbal spar, the accused, reported to be the son of a landlord in Varanasi, attacked the tourist, who has been staying at his guesthouse, with acid.
The victim was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital. Her condition is said to be very critical. After registering a case, police said that the accused has been absconding after the attack.
When police questioned the family members of the accused, they told the cops that he is mentally unstable. Police continue to search for him.
Acid attack on the tourist in Prime Minister’s Lok Sabha constituency is disgrace to the country. Foreign media, which has been waiting for an opportunity to defame Modi, who is currently in UK, are expected to highlight this incident.
